The
Calgary Chapter of "The Motorcycle Ride For Dad" would
like to continue to expand our Awareness
Cruises to promote our campaign of “Early Testing and
Detection" in Southern Alberta.
Following last year's model we propose
holding monthly "casual" motorcycle Cruises of
approximately 2-3 hours to a local community, outside of
Calgary, (and return), with the objective of meeting at a Walmart,
or making a Walmart part of the ride.
It would be arranged for the Calgary Ride For Dad trailer (and
BBQ) to be at that location, selling burgers and hotdogs, along
with Ride For Dad merchandise (hats,
t-shirts, etc.). All proceeds go to the Motorcycle Ride For
Dad’s Fight Against Prostate Cancer. All riders are
requested to wear items displaying the Ride For Dad
insignia (hats, t-shirts, flags, etc.) The Calgary
Chapter would like to organize 4-5 Cruises over the summer
(May-September).
It's our
hope that
continuing these extra
Cruises will help our cause of bringing a greater awareness of the
benefits of early detection to Southern Alberta. Also, it's
a great reason to simply get on our bikes, and go out on the
highway with good friends.
We
would also like to use this email to announce other events taking
place throughout the year, Bike Nights at Ceili's, the Bike
Show, Captain's Club events and other activities that we are
planning for or are doing in conjunction with local clubs, to help
raise awareness and support for the cause. We will do our
best to make this no more than a monthly email.

the focus is expanding, we are setting this up from scratch and
would ask you to let us know if you would like to be part of this
group.
